Correctional Officer Accused Of Stealing From Lexington Inmate

A Fayette County corrections officer is charged with official misconduct after investigators say he took money from an inmate at the Fayette County Detention Center.

Shannon Raglin, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday evening following a joint investigation by the Division of Police and Division of Community Corrections.

The investigation began after an inmate, Marlow Valentine, accused Raglin of taking more than $300 from him.
Valentine is accused in a 2006 murder and has been in an out of jail over the past year.

Raglin has since bonded out of jail.

To whoever made the first comment about Shane Raglin and Shannon Raglin being related. Why don't you do a little research before you make statements like that. One of them is black, one of them is white. Don't be stupid.

Marlow Valentine is a piece of garbage who obviously has no regard for life. Raglin may not be perfect but I wouldn't ever take Valentine's word on something like this. If Raglin got money from him I say good job. At least someone got something out of that worthless idiot.

You are wrong Lori. Ragland and Valentine are on the same level now. Both with criminal charges, both innocent until proven guilty. Just because Valentine was there first means nothing. And for the next post. No inmates can not give money to guards. It is in the policy and it is in the law. Just the same as a inmate can not consent to sex with a guard. Ask Capt D. Hall. He and the Madison County Jailer could tell you about how that is a very bad thing.

wonder if he is related to Shane Ragland? Raglin must have some bad genes in the bloodline.
