Lexington Police Investigating Violent Home Invasion

Police are investigating a violent home invasion in Lexington.
It happened sometime Saturday night on Chelsea Woods Court, just off of Todds Road.
Police say three men broke into the home and tied up the homeowner. One of the men then allegedly hit the homeowner on the head with a hammer.
Police aren't sure exactly when the attack happened. They also don't know who the suspects are at this point.
The victim was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

I deliver pizzas for one of the pizza placed locally. Chelsea Woods Court (from what I've seen) is so quiet. Especially concidering there is at least 3 (maybe more)police officers that live in that small little court. But to be fair to them, I would think it would be impossible to be procative to a possible home invasion no matter what part of town.

I do not want to past judgement on anyone. However, most people are forgetting these are not random acts of violence. Yes they can occur randomly, but when all the facts come out, the victim (and still a victim) usually knew the attackers or associates of the attackers. Whether it is drugs, gambling, bad relationships or anything else that can cause bad blood between people, there is usually a reason behind these crimes. A victim is a victim no matter what and justice must be done, but most of these types of crimes are brought about by association with the wrong crowd or activity.

When the residents of Lexington learn to buy guns and defend themselves in their homes, the invasions will stop. Don't the residents know that its legal to protect life and property. Lexington's Barney Fife bragade doesn't seem to care. You are on your own. Start shooting the S.O.B's then you will be safe again.
