Lexington Mother Charged After Two-Month-Old Injured

A Lexington mother now faces charges after her young daughter suffered some serious injuries.

Police arrested Nena Taylor late this afternoon, charging her with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Taylor's boyfriend, Reginald Vann Phifer, has already been charged with assault.

Police say he bashed the two-month old girl's head against a bed post and tried to smother her.

The child is now in fair condition at Kentucky Children's Hospital.
