The search is over for a man charged in a Lexington murder.
Marlowe Valentine was arrested at a Kenosha, Wisconsin hotel.

Overnight, police in Wisconsin say they tracked Valentine down, when he used an ATM.

They found him staying with his fiancee, Jessica Fields, in a room at the Red Oaks Motel. Investigators noticed the couple's car, a blue Toyota Camry, outside the room.

Police tell 27 NEWSFIRST Valentine ran off into a wooded area, after noticing officers on his trail. Police caught him after a two and a half hour search.

Police also caught Fields.

Valentine did not return to the Louisville jail after a doctor's appointment Monday evening. A judge had granted Valentine a medical pass. Police say Valentine's fiance Jessica Fields picked him up at the jail to take him to the doctor but the two never returned.

The couple was seen earlier in the week at a Georgetown gas station, where police say they stole about $50 in gas.

Valentine is accused of stabbing to death, Hector Morales in 2005, in Lexington.

Valentine was moved to Louisville after he accused guards in Lexington of stealing money from him. Two guards are awaiting trial in the case.

There's no word this morning on when Valentine will return to Kentucky.

Hey Sam, are you being sarcastic? If so, do you even know the details of the situation? Maybe you should look into them before you start bashing the police. It wasn't the police that let him go, it was the judge. Or do they have cronic police bashers in WI like they do here in KY? Actually the officers did a great job, apprehending these two in just a couple of days. However, from the video of the two, it looks like maybe all they had to do was follow the trail of ho-ho wrappers and empty porkrind bags!

Yeah, I wonder why the police didn't escort him to his appointment. *sigh* I love Kenosha's police force.

I wonder how well the girlfriend will like jail. Too bad the judge wont end up in there with her- she should for her assistance in the escape. Then the two of them could be "girlfriendsz" that would be funny.

I love the fact that the police used every tool at their disposal and kept hounding this scumbag until he was caught - makes me glad I've got my concealed carry permit

He has a dental appointment coming up next week. He has to have his gold teeth shined. Hope he gets time off for murder to go to that as well. After all murderers deserve good teeth too. Right?

I have to agree with you "smarter than the judge." This is not Mayberry, but in this case, I wish it were. Sherrif Andy Taylor has more common sense than this judge seems to have.
