Fletcher Says He's Leaning Toward Work In Private Sector

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Governor Ernie Fletcher says he's considering working in the private sector once he's out of office. But he says he's in no rush to get another job after losing his re-election bid to Steve Beshear.

The well-traveled governor has a resume that includes stints as a fighter pilot, a Baptist minister, engineer, doctor and congressman.

Fletcher is considering a return to medicine, but wouldn't make the move without doing an internship to catch up on what he's missed in the last 10 years.

No Ha, as a matter of fact I have no bumper stickers on any of my vehicles stating anything. I along with alot of the state was watching Kentucky Central fiasco long before Ernie Fletcher made an appearance on the scene attempting to be governor. It takes more than a commercial or a soundbite to help formulate my opinions even if it does come from the person I am supporting for the office. Neither side has the corner on "truth" in advertising. As for casinos, I personally am not really overwhelmed with the idea, but I AM completely in favor of giving the citizens of the Commonwealth the chance to express themselves in the voting booth.

Kentucky Voters and Democrats have a long tradition together...Messing up good things! To those who voted for Beshear congratulate yourselves. Soon KY will be last in everything across the nation as we were before Fletcher's GREAT leadership. Fletcher I am sorry our state is filled with ignorance. Thank you for your excellent service, you will be missed.

Oh poor Brian....you really bought into that Fletcher version of the KY Central story. I guess you had a "NO CASINOS" bumper sticker on your vehicle, too, huh? Anyway, I agree with Jay. If Fletcher MD walked in, I believe I would run as fast as I could out the door. I guess Fletcher figures if he gets back into medicine, he can overbill the state for services provided to low-income and uninsured parties. Hmm, another way to screw the state.......seems like a pattern for him!

To all the folks that voted for Beshear. Have you ever thought of getting your heads examined? Seriously, you voted out the BEST man to lead our state. Really you be ashamed that you let a witch hunt take a great leader like Fletcher out of office. Shine on Fletcher and KY you truly deserve what you are about to get. Steve Beshear will destroy our state, just like KY Central.

All I have to say is that until the Republicans got into office, both in the state and in Washington, I was not paying $3 a gallon for gas. In my opinion, it is high time the lower and middle class people got a break. And the way I see it, the Democrats can't do any worse. The economy was much stronger 8 years ago than it is today. That is it was much stronger then for the middle and lower class. It might be stronger today for the higher class.

Well Lee and Jay, I'll tell you what, if our recent idiot elect runs his office in Frankfort the way his law office was run during the Kentucky Central fiasco the legal profession won't be in much better shape than the medical profession.
