Larson Takes On Illegal Immigration Issue

Fayette County's top prosecutor says he's going it alone, locally, in trying to identify undocumented immigrants who are arrested.

Commonwealth's Attorney Ray Larson tells 27 NEWSFIRST that he's keeping lists of those who are accused of felonies and may be in the U.S. illegally.

Larson indicates those names will be forwarded to federal officials and he hopes they'll be deported after serving their sentences.

It comes as controversy rages around the nation about how to deal with immigration issues.

While I don't live in your area,I applaude those that work for the CITIZENS of this country. We have taken the welcome mat from our borders. A massive influx of people from any country is dangerous to our citizens. When we finally get a leader, hopefully with Tom Tancredo as Secretary of Homeland Security, we will get our country back. Deport all that have broken our laws.

Ray Lawson if you get this done you will be the next PRESIDENT of the U.S. I travel around alot of places and this is an on going problem every where and the people are tired of it.Maybe after you get this fixed then you can tackle the mailbox greeters that stand at the side of the road at the first of the month for there checks. So they can go back in and set around laughing at the folks who must earn there's.

I don't care where you're from, as long as you are here legally doing what it takes to contribute in a positive manner.

The problem is clear: We have too many illegal Mexicans. The solution is simple: Send em' back.

Gail and Kelly: From a law enforcement perspective I will say to you, we see them getting into a car to drive (keys in hand) so we say, "Do you have a license?" 99% of the time, they don't!!!!! So we tell them NOT to let us see them in the car again. However we allow an hour to pass and then observe them driving down the road with NO insurance, NO license, NO green card, NOTHING!!!!! Let one of these illegal Mexicans wreck into you and then you'll wake up!!!! Furthermore go ride with your local Police Department for a couple of nights and you'll change your tone as well. Enough is enough.

Okay which is it? Do they take our jobs or do they act as leeches? How are they illegal yet are able to apply for all of these benefits? HMMM?? How about we put some blame on the people who hire illegal immigrants? How about we look at the leeches in our own country. You know how hard it is to find someone to do a hard day's work? How many people do you know who are on disability who just sit around getting everything for free? How many of these disabled people do some little piddling job and get paid in cash while still drawing all kinds of benefits? How many teenagers are willing to get out and work in tobacco? If all the Mexicans were to disappear one day, America would be in a hell of a predicament. No one wants to work anymore. I have never known of anyone who can honestly say that a Mexican took their job. You can't get people to get up off their asses and work anymore.

Regarding the comment by Kelly, name a job that our government has sent to Mexico? I know of jobs private employers have sent to Mexico seeking cheap labor, but I don't know of any sent there directly by the government.

I dont understand how some of you can be so heartless. I understand that many Hispanics are here illegally due to wanting to better themselves & their families lifes. If we had to live only our state & was not allowed to cross into other states to work without a visa & KY had no great means of making an income & OH did, would you not cross over the river to support your families? Have any of you bashers did your family history & found out how you got here? This people are taking the jobs that none of us want to do or expect to get paid an outrageous amount of money to do. Have any of you bashers looked up the requirements that it takes for these people to come here? By their own county requirements they must have a large X amount of $(they can't earn)& own land(that's why most come here is so they can have something when they go back. They contribute a large amount of $ to our economy. What about our own government, they send good paying jobs to Mexico for cheap labor. What about that??

Once in this country they act only as leeches. They do not pay taxes yet send millions of dollars back to Mexico. Steal jobs from our own fellow Americans and demand that we legal Americans treat them with respect. The illegals hide behind the like of the ACLU and other organizations demanding rights under our constitution that by being illegals, do not apply to them and they do not deserve. I am all for immigration, that is what this country was founded on. However there is a LEGAL way to immigrate to this country and they don't deserve any rights under our constitution UNTIL they are legal citizens!!
