Vending Machine Theft Ring Spans Two Counties

Lexington Police are working with another county in hopes of cracking a theft ring.

The thieves are targeting vending machines around the area. Police tell 27 NEWSFIRST the suspects are stealing money from the machines. At this point, to total cost of the thefts could total in the thousands.

Lexington Police say authorities in Jessamine County have an arrest warrant out for two men. Police here are looking into the possibility the same persons may have committed similar crimes in Lexington.

    What happen to people being honest and actually working? If they would start cutting the hands or fingers off the thieves an make examples of these stupid worthless people it would stop going on.

    I understand from my less than reliable sources that this Vendito disquises himself as a vending machine (possibly an off brand cola such as Bubba cola). When folks deposit their money it goes into his left front pocket. The refund switch does not work and the depositer leaves frustrated and thirsty.
