Two 911 Employees Resign

After complaints of inappropriate behavior and two forced resignations, the Lawrence County 9-1-1 board needs a new chief and quickly.

The 9-1-1 board narrowed down 19 department director applications to four finalists.

Interim Chief Eddie Michaels says the loss of former 9-1-1 director Jeff Pack was totally unexpected.

Michaels says Pack and dispatcher Bart Sammons resigned last week after in house complaints of using sexually suggestive language.

9-1-1 board members say the new director needs to hit the ground running.

The 9-1-1 board will interview the four finalists on Friday.

Gary Melvin would make Lawrence Co. a good one. He's the best dispatcher in Johnson Co.
