School System Names New Superintendent

The Floyd County School System has a new superintendent.

The school board voted to hire Henry Webb to replace Paul Fanning, who resigned earlier this year.

Webb has been with the school district for more than ten years.

He's been a basketball coach, principal and has worked in central office.

Officials say contract negotiations will begin in the next few days.

Well it looks like Grigsby and Frazier will be back in control, so this solidifies the awful choice of the principal for the new elementary school for as long as she wants to control it! Floyd County unless Henry is strong is headed back down the path to medocrity and poor performance that certain people want to maintain to keep their political sway held firm. Mr. Webb is a good man, but he will need to be tough to actually make a difference when his future will be held hostage by the political influneces of the few who have wanted to be back in control for so long!

Henry Webb is a great asset to Floyd County and also a great choice for Superintendent. It is about time that we get a native of this area instead of someone from another state.
