Cats Heading Back To Music City Bowl

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky is heading back to the Music City Bowl.

The Wildcats accepted an invitation to the bowl on Sunday to take on Florida State in Nashville on Dec. 31.

Kentucky (7-5, 3-5 South East) won the Music City Bowl last year, beating Clemson 28-20. This year's game will mark Kentucky's third trip the bowl. The Wildcats lost to Syracuse in 1999.

Florida State (7-5, 4-4) finished the season third in the ACC's Atlantic Division.

When I got my room today, there were plenty of rooms under $100.

Good for the Cats! I would like to go see them in action, but all the tickets have been sold to scalpers again. There's no way I'm going to pay 2 or 3 times face value for them. Plus I looked today and the only hotel in downtown Nashville that still has rooms is the Hermitage which goes for over 300 dollars a night. It's a shame that honest fans can't go to watch their team in a bowl game because they are getting ripped off at both ends, by scalpers who have all the tickets and by travel agencies who have all the hotel rooms. It's just as well, I'll probably now go to NYC like I did 2 years ago, and spend about 200 dollars on the hotel room, and get to be at the biggest party in the world for New Years. To heck with the Music City and their overly-inflated prices.
