Case Against Man Charged In Deadly Crash Moves Forward

The case against a Stamping Ground man, charged with reckless homicide after a deadly crash, has moved on to the grand jury.

Police say 20-year-old Joe Shepperson ran a red light and slammed into a car driven by Kathleen Torok in October of 2006. Torok was on her way to work at Keeneland at the time of the crash

Shepperson wasn't charged until a year after the crash. He's already pleaded not guilty to that charge.

This is truly a horrible tragedy that is still continuing. The evidence that is recorded in the newspapers and in the accident report proves that. At the hearing yesterday the police officer said that there was not a police officer there that could say this boy was impaired in any way. The commonwealth attorney does not see a case then why should anyone else? This is his job after all and he does it by evidence and f there clearly is no evidence. It is a shame that Kathleen died but why make her death a mockery? Will it bring her back? The husband is truly distraught and looking for revenge and not seeing the true facts. I pray for both of the families involved. Would Kathleen want to seek revenge for an pure accident? It truly sounds like politics and revenge to me. Read your Bibles people. What would Jesus do? May God have mercy on your souls for trying to ruin a young mans life. He lives with this everyday. I think he has been punished enough.

Ray Larson has already said that this is a tragic accident. No drinking or drugs involved. No impairment. If the meanist man alive says it's not a crime, why is good ole Larry Roberts pushing it? Politics?
