Fallen Police Chief Remembered During Christmas Toy Program

The annual Powell County "Shop With a Cop" event was held Monday morning.

130 Powell County children went shopping for Christmas toys.

The program was started by Clay City Police Chief Randy Lacy, who was murdered back in June.

In years past, 100 children were chosen for the shopping spree.

But this year, 30 more were added thanks to donations in memory of Chief Lacy.

Santa Garland Lacy was more than like family-- he was Family-- big brother to Randy. What a wonderful legacy Randy left for us and the kids of Powell County.

This is great news. I'm sure Mr. Lacy would be proud of this and I'm sure the kids' Christmas will be a good one thanks to the example he set.
