Police Investigating Death At Condo Apartments

LEXINGTON, KY -- Lexington Police are conducting a death investigation following the discovery Saturday night of a 24-year old male who died of "multiple blunt force trauma," according to the Fayette County Coroner.

Police are uncertain as to how the man died, but say it appeared the victim had fallen from an apartment at the complex. The discovery was made around 9 p.m. at the Campus View Condominimus Complex.

The victim was identified as Ryan Pedersen, who apparently was staying at one of the apartments in the complex at 1081 South Broadway.

Pedersen's body was discovered by a Lexington Police Officer who was called to the scene about 8 p.m. following a missing persons report. Pedersen's body was found about an hour later, between a fence and the apartments complex .

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heady & Son in Louisville, KY.

Very sad news. From what I hear he was quite possibly UK's most popular student. I feel for his family and friends during this awful time.
