Newspaper Says I-66 Isn't Getting Support

Nearly ninety million dollars has been spent for a road that will likely never be built?

That's what the Courier Journal claims in a special report about I-66.

It’s a road that's proposed to run through much of the country and through eastern Kentucky.

The paper claims that U.S. Representative Hal Rogers has pushed the millions of dollars toward the proposed highway, but that it's not getting support from other states across the country or even in western Kentucky.

The paper cites Roger's comments about the project online where he says that I-66 would provide Kentuckians with a new east-west highway from eastern Kentucky to western Kentucky, but he admits it is a long-term project that may not be realized for months or even years.
