Several Shots Fired Into Lexington Home

Several shots were fired into a home in Lexington early Monday Morning. It happened overnight on Leaning Tree Lane, off Yellowstone Parkway.

Police say someone fired five shots into a window.

The man who lived there wasn't hurt. He later went to Osage Court to call for help.

Police say the crime doesn't appear random.

It's a drug ridden neighborhood. This was probably drug related too. Why would you wait until later to call police? Maybe to stash whatever was the reason for the shooting in the first place.

This doesn't surprise me. The Eastland Hills and neighboring areas were kinda nice a few years ago. In recent years, however, rent has dropped, low-lifes have moved in, and drugs are everywhere. Take a look at the crime maps (google lfucg crime map) show alot of crimes for this area.....yet the police presence seems extraordinarily limited there.
