Toddler Injured In Accident Gets Special Christmas Party

This Christmas is a truly special one for 2-year-old Candra Rivera. She's walking around now.

But that wasn't the case just a few months ago. In October, a pot of hot soup from a stove accidentally fell on her, burning much of her body.

She spent weeks recovering at Kentucky Children's Hospital.

So Friday night, many in Richmond wanted to do something special for her. Thanks to donations made at Wal-Mart, Candra was able to have a dream Christmas, filled with lots of presents.

Candra's parents say she still has a long road to go before she is completely healed. She is currently in rehabilitation.

I am glad this child is recovering and the community is reaching out.

This is absolutely wonderful that this young child is walking now. May God continue to watch over her through her healing process. Sounds like a great community also.
