Two Killed In Accident On Western Kentucky Parkway

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (AP) - Two western Kentucky residents were killed and a teenage girl was injured following an accident on Western Kentucky Parkway yesterday.

The accident happened just west of Elizabethtown. Police say 31-year-old Chad Erickson of Hartford was driving east on the Parkway when the vehicle went into the median and struck a bridge abutment. The vehicle then overturned and came to a rest. Erickson and 41-year-old Ara Grimes of Falls of Rough were killed in the accident. Police say 14-year-old Amber Grimes was taken to University Hospital in Louisville, where she is listed in serious condition.

Police are still investigating the crash, but said alcohol was not a factor.
