Suspected Robber Arrested After Police Chase

After three robberies in two counties and police chase, police arrest a man they say is responsible for all those crimes.

Police arrested 45-year-old Michael Setters at around 9:30 Tuesday morning.

Police say his crime spree started at around 2:30 Tuesday morning in Clark County when he held up the Shell station on Van Meter Road in Winchester.

Then, at around 7:15 Tuesday morning, police say Setters robbed the Red Roof Inn off Paris Pike in Lexington.

About two hours later, police say Setters struck again, hitting the Shell station at Harrodsburg Road and Lane Allen.

After that robbery, police say they tried to pull him over for not wearing a seat belt, but he wouldn't stop and led them on a chase. That chase went through downtown Lexington.

The chase finally ended back in Clark County on Clintonville Road, but only after Setters' car lost two tires.

Setters has been charged with not wearing a seat belt and fleeing and evading police. He's also been charged with all three robberies.

He's being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
