An investigation is underway after police say someone stole many antique items during burglaries at a self-storage unit business in Richmond.
Last Thursday, the manager of Ft. Knox Storage, on North Third Street, told Richmond Police that locks on seven units had been cut sometime during the previous two days.
Richmond Police say the items stolen during the burglaries include six to eight totes full of high end glass products, crystal, and china.
Police say the glassware contained a moon and star pattern, and the brands of china include Lefton, Nippon, and Fenton.
Police say three cases of Hot Wheels die cast model cars, approximately 120 in all, were also stolen, along with crystal Champagne glasses and goblets from the 1800s, and two sets of 16 silver flatware and serving ware from the 1800s were also stolen.
Richmond Police say the estimated worth of all the stolen items combined is $9,500.
