Students Mourn Death Of Classmate

Students at Bryan Station High School returned to class on Thursday for the first time since one of their classmates was killed.

16-year-old Jonathon Gonzalez lost control while driving on Russell Cave Road early Wednesday morning in Bourbon County.

His SUV went into a pond. Officials say Gonzalez drowned.

His passenger, 15-year-old Amber Baker, got out of the vehicle and made it to a nearby home for help.

Grief counselors were on hand at the school on Thursday. There's no word yet on funeral arrangements for Gonzalez.
