Four Killed In Fiery Crash

Four people died Sunday in a fiery crash after a car ran into a tree in far southeast Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police say the four were killed early Sunday morning. A state trooper drove up on the flaming 2002 Dodge Neon on Ky. 92 about 25 miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee state line.

The trooper, Detective Michael Cornett, saw two men and two women inside the burning car. State police say none of the four were wearing seatbelts. Troopers say it appears the car ran off the road in a turn and slammed into the tree.

State forensic pathologist Dr. Emily Craig was working to identify the bodies. The bodies were taken to Frankfort for examination and identification.

We're told two of the victms are Wesley Cole, 18, and Shawna McCreary, 16. Wesley's family members tell 27NEWSFIRST his funeral arrangments are pending, but the services will be held in Montgomery County. They say the teen will be laid to rest in Magoffin County.

My heartfelt prayers go out to Stephanie's family and friends. I have only known Steph for about 1 year. She was a very special girl with a heart of gold. We talked about her being pregnant and my family and I let her know she always had a place to come if ever needed. She had a smile that would melt anyones heart. Her and Shawna were the best of friends but they felt more like sisters to one another. So I pray that they are together in heaven playing with that little baby. God bless both families. They are truely missed.

Eric was one of the greatest people that i have ever met, one of my best friends. i thought alot of wesely he was also a good friend. Memories of Eric and me in school will always be with me forever we've been friends since arjay, and memories of wesely, i will always have. I loved both of them dearly and will continue to love them. Seeing Eric at school and on the bus ride home will always be in my heart remembering the laughs that we shared but always keeping both of them in my heart. My prayers go out to all of their familys. Eric and Wesely will always have a special place in my heart. I love you both and you all will forever be missed.

You know i didn't get to spend as much time with him while he was here. Maybe it was me or maybe it was just that i haven't talked to his mother in years. But that is something i will regret now and forever. My thought and prayers go out to his mother. Sue i know this is hard and it isn't fair but there is nothing i can say to make you feel better.I just hope you make it through this. May God be with all of you'll who loved him. Love Always Uncle Matt \
