Overnight Police Chase Sends Man To Jail

A man is in the Franklin County jail after an early Monday morning police chase.

Police say the chase reached speeds of 90 miles per hour on US 127 North.

The chase ended when police say Brandon Purvis abandoned his SUV on Sullivan's Lane.

When they caught up with him, police arrested Purvis and charged him with fleeing and evading.

Police started chasing the vehicle after receiving calls that shots had been fired from a similar vehicle.

Purvis hasn't been charged in connection with those reports of gunfire.

Well....it seems that even if he didn't fire the shots, he was definitely up to no good of some kind. Or maybe he just decided to play his own version of Dukes of Hazard.
