Eye Doctor Murder Trial Now Underway

The trial of a Lexington eye doctor, accused of murder, started on Monday morning with jury selection

Police say Michael Flick shot two former co-workers in May of 2005, killing one of them. Prosecutors say it started after an argument over a business matter.

Christine Wittich died. Her boyfriend, Doctor Randall Lambirth, survived.

Flick is also charged with attempted murder and burglary.

Testimony is expected to start sometime on Wednesday and the entire trial is expected to last at least one week.

I'm with the rest - he deserves NO trial! They should have taken him outback & shot him dead. My thoughts & prayers are with the Wittich family at this time & Randall! I pray that this will be finally over & Flick gets what he deserves for what he did!

Chrissy was a great friend and I still dream of her often. I hope he does too, as he rots away.

He should be treated no better, and perhaps worse than the rest of us. A doctor, law enforcement officer, and clergy persons are deemed to be of higher standard" than the common person. Therefore, if he committed cold blooded murder in this case, he should be used as an example for the rest of us.

This is such a tragic occurrence..... and for this crime to be committed by someone who seemed to be such a nice, hardworking, professional person.
