The members of the Scott County branch of the International Association Fire Fighters are facing a problem none of them expected they'd ever have to; that one of their own has stolen from them.
Officials with the local IAFF say that a man who wore the uniform, and worked alongside them, misappropriated a large some of money from their union.
On the national level the IAFF: provides insurance, acts as a credit union and pushes for better fire fighter and EMS benefits.
The loss of this money could possibly affect some of that.
The IAFFs local president declined to comment in person, but told 27 newsfirst during a phone conversation the IAFF as well as the Kentucky State Police are investigating this theft, and that the man who allegedly betrayed the trust of his brothers, is no longer with the department.
The name of the man accused of the theft is not being released, nor is the amount of money that is missing.

I agree-this man should be named, or he may do the same thing to other people. It is awful that he stole from his "brothers;" he should be ashamed!

I think this man should be commended for coming clean. Let God be the judge, not man!

The only reason you want his name submitted is so that you can embarass him. Don't you think he already feels remorse, why rub it in his face? I am sure you've not been perfect your entire life.

The most important piece of the story is who done it? His name should be made public and everyone should know who he is that he can never hold a similair position in another fire dept.
