Murder Suspect Walks Away From UK Hospital

Police are looking for a murder suspect accused of walking away from the UK Hospital Monday night.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Justin Deaton of Nicholasville.

Deaton is accused of murder after a DUI crash over the weekend that killed 29-year-old Christopher Charles in Wolfe County.

Deaton was reported missing just after 8 p.m. Monday before he could be formally charged with murder.

Good call Zat...Deaton must not be a good basketball player, otherwise, everybody would be shouting from the rooftops.." He made a little mistake, give him a second chance!"

To Me, he was never charged until after he left the hospital, so no it's not escape it's called walking away real fast cause you know whats coming, there was no police at the hospital watching him, he hadn't even been formally charged with DUI yet, let alone the so-called murder charges. I don't know how Kentucky does it but when your arrested for something and you are taken to the hospital first, a police officer is to stay with prisoner the whole time. My sister works in the ER at UK and said there was no polic there and he was being discharge and they were actually trying to slow the discharge process down so the police could get there before he could leave.

If you do the crime....Pay the time. He is no different than anyone else out there that drinks-drugs while driving. He had been arrested for DUI that would have led to murder charges. So Lisa and Valerie...he has escaped...once you are arrested and you "run" away.....thats escape. DUH

I can not believe the headlines on this man. Even though I believe he was wrong to drink/do drugs and drive the other boy that was killed knew he was impaired and chose to get in to that car with him as he was doing the same thing as the driver. Now the news has to have a grabbing headline and put it out there as he is a MURDER SUSPECT! That is just totally wrong on so many levels. I know your trying to sale papers but people get a grip. If he walked up and shot someone, if he ran over them intentionally, or something along those lines yes call him a murder suspect. But what I know about this story is both boys were drinking and doing drugs. Both chose to get in that car one behind the wheel the other in the passenger seat. Lets call this what it is ACCIDENTAL VEHICULAR HOMICIDE! He didn't intentionally kill so there is no way this should be classified as a MURDER! I agree with the general population now. The news crucifies you before you ever get your day in court!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use to live on this road where this wreck occured at and if people would watch how they are driving and not be high and doped up on something then they would have never wrecked.

Valerie, If he hadn't been drinking maybe he would have been more careful? I understand that they may need to fix the problem but hey..if you drink and accidently kill someone, its your fault. The car is considered a deadly weapon if you are drinking and driving. As far as the bets go, I hope that he is smart and turns himself in.

well normally people that have accidents are not charged with murder UNLESS they are driving under the influence of some controlled substance. So whether he had been charged or not he KNEW what was coming. So yes, he escaped. There are TOO MANY drunks on the roads & they need to ALL be removed from society until they can get some sense about them & learn you DO NOT drink or take drugs & drive.

I live on the road where he wrecked and I figure if the state would do their job that the big ice spot would not have been there that caused him to wreck. If anyone should get a lesser charge for something like this it should be him.
