Police Make Quick Arrest After Bank Robbery

Just minutes after a holdup at a Lexington bank, police made an arrest in the case.

The Central Bank branch on Harrodsburg road was robbed just after 1:30 Tuesday afternoon. Police say the robber showed a handgun to the clerk and asked for money.

Police stopped a vehicle, not far from the scene of the crime. After questioning the driver, police arrested Kenneth Chandler.

He's been charged with first degree robbery and having an expired license. Police have not said yet whether or not they think Chandler could be responsible for other robberies in the area.

Everyone is quick to criticize the Police when mistakes are made, but no one wants to praise them when something like this happens. They just caught a bank robber! How come nobody is commenting on that?? But if they crash 2 cars, there are 15 million comments on how the police are no better than we are. Give credit where credit is due and be thankful there are men and women willing to put their lives on the line to protect us!
