Power Mostly Restored After Failure In Northern Kentucky

WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) - Power has been restored to about 6,000 residents in northern Kentucky after a transmission line failure early Monday.

East Kentucky Power Cooperative spokesman Nick Comer says crews are in the process of restoring power to another 1,000 customers.

Comer says the power outtage happened at about 3:45 Monday morning when a transmission line failed. He said the line served customers of Owen Electric Cooperative.
