Teens Recovering After Falling Into Icy Pond

A close call in Southern Kentucky for two teenagers who fell into an icy pond.

It happened in the East Bernstadt community in Laurel County.

We're told the boys were sliding on the ice when they fell through into the water. Ambulance workers tell us by the time they arrived on the scene, the two teens had pulled themselves out of the water.

They were taken to a local hospital with the beginning stages of hypothermia.

Both boys are expected to make a full recovery.

I had a great childhood. I just knew better than to jump up and down on an icy pond. You guys are telling me not to judge people and you are doing the same thing to me; what a bunch of hypocrites! Ok, maybe the boys aren't morons because my guess is they can spell better than those who are defending them. You people don't even know when to use the word their, there, they're, where or were. Also, Tanya referred to them as a "little slow in the head." Yes sir, that's a great way to describe somebody but at least you did correct it later in your post by saying they have learning problems. If that is true, then I apologize for the moron comment. I still hold fast on my opinion that anybody who would jump up and down on an ice covered pond doesn't deserve sympathy. Yep, you may think I'm cold hearted, but coddling every kid for doing something wrong won't teach them a darn thing. Ask any teacher and they'll tell you the same thing. Sure, I'm glad they are okay.

Glad the lads are ok. This would make a good Jack-ass movie, A couple of guys, a fifth of Jim Beam, a frozen pond , a video camera, and last but not least, a jack hammer!

Okay, eddie is my little brother and chad is a foster kid, they both are slow in the head, and they are lucky to be alive. Calling them morons makes you look stupid and very heartless. Thats all I have to say about the situation. They was just trying to have fun and didnt know better, like I said they have learning problems, and they are teenagers, what do you expect?

They could have stuck their tongues to a metal pole for''a little fun.''I am tired of people taking risks, foolish ones at that, and endangering others who have to rescue them from themselves. Thankfully in this case all ended well.
