A law enforcement officer in Madison County is recovering after a close call while directing traffic.

I know everyone has a place to go and wants to make it in time--but please respect these guys who are taking care of all of us. I'm so sorry this happened to you, Officer Kelly, God bless you and I hope it's not a serious injury.

People are so careless these days. I would say cell phone usage, not the lighted sign, would outweigh people getting distracted. I hope Officer Kelly is ok.

The driver of the vehicle was probably mesmerized by that new animated sign at the other end of Main Street.

Okay, did they catch the person who almost hit him? My prayers are with office Kelly, he's a nice person.
