Abused Infant Recovering

The Middlesboro four month old was rushed to East Tennessee Children's Hospital after suffering both internal and external injuries.

Two people now face abuse charges, including the boy's mother.

A preliminary investigation led police to Randy J. Vaughn, 23, of Middlesboro.

Police say Vaughn lived in the home with the baby but he's not the father.

Police the infants mother, Christina Terrell, 19, is also facing 2nd degree criminal abuse charges.

We're told the baby is now in stable condition and may be taken out of intensive care on Friday.

Authorities are not ruling out the possibility that others may have played a role in the abuse.

They also say charges could be upgraded against the two suspects.

blue in the face however we need to take action and resolve our judicial system fast. for if we do not this will keep on happening furthermore why not get her tied off and him sewn up to not reproduce anymore. and all those that do abuse children need to have this done. kill two birds with one stone. if we cannot take out of the gene pool, then we can stop them from conceiving any more kids. plus it is better than the death penalty that WE NEVER USE for it is inhumane and against the beliefs of the bible

So i have read all the comments thus far and must agree with 'once again' as to amy pineville and ? location who knows please be exempt. Yes our judicial system is out of whack and has been for some time so therefore we as people need to get up and voice to our elected offficials that our punishments need to be revised for current day way of life. using the death penelty is not the answer. drug testing might have helped but doubtful. why not teach all those wanting to get pregnant to not beat a child in this way. I know i was beaten as a child and never once was it done without justice. secondly the mother should not have custody and one of her relatives i am sure will be called in as a guardian which the mother will get again and who knows what will happen why not adoption, if i was financially stable i would opt for adopting this child and try to be a better father than the guy who knocked her up and left. think about that and we can voice our opinions till we are blue in the

I HOPE AND PRAY THAT THIS CHILD SURVIVES, WHAT THE HELL DID THIS CHILD DO ANYWAY, TO RECIEVE THIS TYPE OF "LOVE" FROM THESE "PARENTS"? TO ME THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN TO THE COURT HOUSE FOR A PUBLIC BEATING, THE SAME WAY THEY HAD PLACED ON THIS CHILD, WHO CANT EVEN DEFEND ITS SELF. I LOVE TO BE DRAFTED, TO BE THE PERSON, TO BEAT THESE PARENTS THE SAME WAY THEY HAD DONE TO THIER CHILD. MAKE IT ALSO POSSIBLE THAT CANT COME WITH-IN A 1000 YARDS OF A CHILD FOR THE REST OF THIER LIVES.

BABIES DON'T ASK TO BE BORN IF YOU THINK YOU OR YOUR PARTNER WOULD OR COULD PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE HOSPITAL WHEN THEY ARE BORN. CHILD ABUSERES SOULD BE PUBLICLY KILLED OS STONED TO DEATH AT A SLOW PACE SO THEY CAN HURT!! ANY MOMTHER OR FATHER THAT HURTS THEIR CHILD OR ANY CHILD SHOULD HAVE THE CHILD OR CHILDREN TAKING FOR LIFE ,AND SHOLUD BE FIXED SO THEY CAN'T HAVE ANY MORE CHILDREN

I HOPE AND PRAY THAT THIS CHILD SURVIVES THE ABUSE OF THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE. THERE'S PEOPLE WHO CAN'T HAVE CHILDREN WHO WOULD GIVE THIS BABY A WONDERFUL HOME. BUT THE TRUTH BEHIND IT ALL IS SOME JUDGE WILL SAY EVERYMOTHER DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE AND SEND THE POOR BABY HOME. THEY HAVE STRICTER LAWS FOR ABUSING ANIMALS THAN THEY DO OUR CHILDREN. YOU CAN ABUSE AN ANIMAL AND YOUR ON THE NEWS AND OFF TO JAIL. AND YOU PRACTICALLY CAN KILL YOUR CHILD AND ALL YOU NEED IS A SLAP ON THE HAND AND A LITTLE COUNSELING AND YOU ARE THE PERFECT PARENT. BUT I JUST PRAY THESE PEOPLE GET WHAT I THINK THEY DESERVE.
