Family Escapes Burning Home

Fire crews spent much of the morning on the scene of a house fire in Anderson County.

The flames broke out at around 3:40 Thursday morning at the home on Glensboro Road, also known as Highway 44. That's west of Lawrenceburg.

When firefighters arrived, they reported seeing flames shooting out of the roof. Dispatchers say there appears to be heavy damage to the home.

The family who lives there got out safely, but there was concern about the whereabouts of the family cat.

There's no word yet on what caused the fire.

Were they "workers" too or were they really a family? Glad they got out ok.

I am thankful the family made it out safe. I hope the community they live in will help them out as much as possible.
