Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Nabs Burglary Suspect

LAUREL COUNTY, KY -- The Laurel County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Sinking Creek area man in connection with a string of burglaries that occured in that area over the past few days.

Sheriff's Deputy's have taken into custody Timothy Combs (no age listed). They were called to White Oak Road due to a stolen vehicle complaint. While investigating, they received "numerous calls about stolen property and vehicle break-ins," according to a news release from the department.

Deputy Albert Hale spotted Combs next to a vehicle on Powder Mill Road. The report says Combs ran into the woods when he spotted the deputy. After a search, Combs was located on Pine Top Road and placed under arrest.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Kentucky State Police, the London City Police Department and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Laurel County Sheriff Fred Yaden says an investigation continues.

    i bet those mayors want casinos built by them. it just goes to show the southeastern part of this great state will be forgotten as you in the northern part of the state act like we don`t exist. to frankfort remember we pay our share of taxes to!
