LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A political adviser to Anne Northup says
the former congresswoman has decided to run this year to again
represent a Louisville-area district.
Northup campaign adviser Ted Jackson said Monday that the
Republican will file candidacy papers in Frankfort on Tuesday for the Third District, which she represented for five terms.
Democratic Rep. John Yarmuth has already filed for a second term.
Yarmuth defeated Northup two years ago, capitalizing on voter unrest with President Bush and the Iraq war.
Two other Republicans have also entered the race - Louisville
builder Chris Thieneman and Bob DeVore Jr.
