A chemical weapons stockpile in Madison County has passed an inspection by an international organization.

Inspectors from several countries came to the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond to make sure proper storage, maintenance and disposal qualifications are being met.

The Richmond Register reports the inspection is part of requirements set forth by the Chemical Weapons Convention. This is the 12th time the Bluegrass Army Depot passed the inspection.
