City of Cincinnati Makes Bedbugs Official Vermin

CINCINNATI (AP) - In the city of Cincinnati, bedbugs are now officially considered vermin.

The bugs were added to the Cincinnati Municipal Code, ranking them among rodents, fleas, lice, roaches and weevils as critters that must be controlled by owners and occupants of buildings.

Harboring a vermin infestation is a fourth-degree misdemeanor,
punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $250 fine.

If Cinn. is going to fine all those who "harbor" vermin...look out they will be very busy. Bedbugs can be found in nearly every home. While I agree all the vermin named in the story need exterminated, I would hate to be the people trying to accomplish this feat.Only in Cinn.
