Man Found Shot Along Lexington Road; Police Arrest Suspect

Lexington Police have made an arrest after a man was found shot along Richmond Road early Friday morning.

Police say the victim told them he was shot in the leg while riding inside an SUV.

A man who found the victim and called 911 tells 27 NEWSFIRST he thought the victim had been hit by a black Chevrolet Suburban, but later realized the man had been shot.

Police say the suspect, 27-year-old Torey Lee Richardson, left a restaurant with the victim. Police say he pulled out a gun and demanded money and then shot the victim in the leg.

Th victim jumed from the moving vehicle.

Richardson was arrested later Friday morning after a traffic stop. He's being charged with robbery and assault and is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
