2 Killed In Perry County House Fire

Two people were killed in a house fire in southern Perry County.

Investigators say the fire started around 8:30 Sunday night in the Leatherwood Community, just off Route 699.

Fire investigators closed the highway through the night and into the early
morning while crews investigated the cause of the fire.

Officials have not yet released the victims' names, but officials tell 27 NEWSFIRST the victims are both male and female, Fire crews were back out on the scene early this morning to continue their investigation.

They tell us foul play is not suspected.
