Couple Accused Of Murdering A 10 year-old Girl Returns To Court

A trial date is now set for a Clark County couple accused of killing a 10-year-old girl.

On Thursday, a judge set a May 5th trial date for Patrick and Joy Watkins.

Police say the two killed Patrick's daughter, Michaela, last year by beating her then burning her body.

The Watkins' say Michaela's death was an accident.

They claim she fell down some stairs, and burned herself in a bathtub.

I think it is time to go back to the old way of dealing with murders, take a rope and a tree in the courthouse lawn, hang them, and I think that would send a message to alot of folk that we are not going to tolerate child murders and molesters anymore, and this is how it will be dealt with, on each and every convicted person. Male or Female. Lets see how quickly the crime will drop to near 0

We need to quit wasting our tax money on these two and slap them with the death penalty. Its obvious what theyve done and the poor child didnt get a fair chance at life so why should they?
