Family and friends say good-bye to a 91 year-old man who died after being attacked in his own home.

Family members delayed William Taylor's memorial service because they were waiting on their mother and Taylor's wife Mabel to be released from a nursing home so that she could join them.

But Mabel Taylor died before that could happen and today a memorial service was held for both of them.

Their daughter, Elaine Duvall, says it was shocking to hold a joint funeral for both her parents but she's certain thats what they would have wanted.

Mabel died of a heart stroke never knowing her husband was killed.

Her son William Jennings says they are almost certain they know who's responsible for the beating death of their father.

An award is being offered for information leading to an arrest to Taylor's murder.

My sister is married to one of Mr. Taylor's son. I the crime against Mr. Taylor is indefensible. I think showing the photo of Mr. Taylor in the hospital is also indefensible.

UNITE and the state police need to check out the Frakes area...there's a lot of drug activity going on up there, and this would be a good hotspot for UNITE to try to clear up. It's such an isolated area that the elderly are afraid to do any complaining, and the good people there are fearful that their homes will be burned, or worse that they too will loose their lives--if any of the drug people think someone is turning them in. It's way too far out to expect the police to show up quickly if someone calls for help...But, again, for the safety of that community, now would be a good time to start an undercover investigation and try to clean up that area.
