Animal Shelter To Temporarily Close

One Eastern Kentucky animal shelter will be closed for a week while repairs are made.

The Pike County Animal Shelter will be closed between Monday and February 25th while they complete repairs. Officials from the shelter say they regret the inconvenience, but that the repairs are necessary and will help make the services the shelter provides more efficient in the long run.

Emergency services will still be available during the renovations. You can reach the shelter at 606-432-6294.

Well, To be honest they never do anything, I called 2 times a few years ago about 2 dogs that kept tying to attack my kids.. the man whom owned them would not put them on a leash..all one gets is the answering service...hopefully they can improve this as well...
