Sunday's strong winds knocked out power, and caused property damage across the Lexington area.
Central Kentucky was under a wind advisory for most of the day. Some places saw wind gusts reaching over 50 miles per hour.
Firefighters and Kentucky Utilities crews were out most of Sunday afternoon, picking up downed trees and power lines.
The windy skies were not so friendly to airplanes either. One plane, scheduled to land at Blue Grass Airport from Atlanta, had to be diverted to Cincinnati.
At one point, there were about 200 homes without power, but KU says most of those have now been restored.
