Three Of Four Injured In Violent Crash, Released From Hospital

A violent crash early Tuesday morning sent four young people to the hospital with critical injuries.

Three of them, 20 year old Whitney Smith, 22 year old Paul Jones, and 21 year Michael Gibson have already been treated and released from the UK Hospital.

One passenger, 22 year old Shatoshia Roaden, is listed in fair condition at UK Hospital.

The crash happened on Indian Creek Road outside of Sadieville in northern Scott County. Police tell us the driver of the truck, Whitney Smith, lost control and tried to over correct. Police say that's when Smith hit a tree then a stone barrier.

The impact of the crash was so severe police say the truck was ripped apart. Investigators say some of the injuries are life threatening, ranging from internal bleeding, a broken femur and a head injury.

Sheriff's Deputy say drugs or alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash. Police are still investigating the crash.

Some of the injuries are life threatening but three of the four have already been released from the hospital? Doesn't make sense unless the one person had all the injuries but the story doesn't state that.
