Five Year Sentence Recommended For Former Police Officer

A five year sentence is recommended for former Williamsburg Police Officer Brad Nighbert.

Court officials say Nighbert pleaded guilty to an amended charged of possession of a controlled substance.

The charge stems from a May 2007 incident when police say Nighbert was under the influence of drugs when showed up at the scene of a stabbing in Laurel County.

Nighbert will be sentenced April 18th.

YOU GUYS ARE ALL WACKED OUT. IF YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT, THEN DONT TALK. YOU JUST LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE SAY. THATS CALLED A FOLLOWER. LEARN THE FACTS, AND FIND OUT THE REAL LAB REPORT. THEN YOU CAN TALK.

He needs to go to prison just like everyone else convicted for a crime. Of course due to the fact of who his daddy is I doubt that he will ever see the prison walls.

I am so tired of people getting away with everything they do because of who they are or who's son they are. If this had been anyone else they would have been in jail and facing the maximum sentence. it is because of people like Brad Nighbert and others that our judicial system is a mess. They need to punish people that commit crimes and let them know that they cannot commit any crime and get away with it. Our law enforcement and judicial system needs to start actually doing their job which is to protect our community, not to let people off the hook on such serious crimes.
