Police Identify Two Killed In Head-On Crash

Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Southern Kentucky.

It happened around 5:30 Tuesday on Ky 80 near the Laurel-Pulaski County line.

State Police say a Toyota 4-Runner, driven by Charles David Dodd of Corbin crossed the center line and slammed into a pick-up truck.

That truck belonged to the Ky Department of Environmental Protection. The driver of that truck was Anthony Keith Blair of Somerset.

Police say Blair was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both drivers were thrown from their vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they do not suspect drug or alcohol abuse.

My heart goes out to the families of these two men. If both was thrown from the vehicle, and, if one was wearing his seat belt, how was he thrown from the vehicle? Did the seat belt break? Was the seat belt defective? It sure didn't save this man's life! My sympathy to the families.

Keith Blair was the father of a friend of mine here at Alice Lloyd College. It hurts me to see a friend lose her father at a young age. My heart is with Kasey's family at this time.

Last night I was at the church with the family. I've known David Dodd for a very long time he was an amazing man. I was thinking earlier about everything why God took him instead of someone else. Why didn't that guy that hit Pastor Dave hit someone else someone who was a addicted to drugs someone who was a sinner times ten. But then it hit me that, everyone deserves a second chance but David did everything right the first time around. This will impact Laurel Co. so much that it isn't even funny. Everyone loved him and his whole family no matter what you did or who you are he would greet you with open arms and not judge you. My heart goes out to the Dodd family and everyone else affected by this incident.
