Subway's Jared Makes An Appearance In Lexington

A Lexington school got a personal visit from a famous face.

Jared Fogle, the spokesman for Subway restaurants, stopped by Glendover Elementary School on Wednesday.

Fogle earned fame when he lost nearly 200 pounds using what he calls the Subway diet. He says he ate nothing but healthy sandwiches for lunch and dinner to lose the weight

Fogle encouraged the students to be active and healthy. He says they're actually his motivation to keep his weight down.

People, it is not the food that makes you fat. It's the doing nothing after eating that makes you fat. Get a bicycle and ride it, the weight will roll off of you.

The last time Jared was in Lexington, he was spotted eating breakfast at the Cracker Barrel on Newtown Pike. I couldn't believe my eyes with a Subway at the end of the street.
