5 Suing Judge, Alleging They Lost Jobs For Political Reasons

Three more people are joining a lawsuit against Knott County Judge Executive Randy Thompson.

Thompson denies terminating two workers for political reasons, but three more former employees have made the same charge.

Two former employees filed a lawsuit against the judge executive in January for violation of their rights after they say his associates told them not to support his opponent.

The three latest allege the same violation of rights in a court motion filed this week.

All five employees are seeking unspecified damages and reinstatement.

Well I guess I am one of the people that can find good and bad things to say about Judge Thompson. As a person you meet you cant find a more friendly and approachable person around town, always a smile and a kind word for people. worked for so long with the youth and the kids love him and he has a sportmanship about him that is outstanding and he passed that on to the kids he taught. had them show respect and he did the same and that was rare to see in those leagues. But as a Judge, he has been bothe the best and the most clueless it seems...he KNEW what the judges before him got in trouble for and he knew thats how he first got the office. Why would he, after the people had enough faith in him to offically elect him to stay in that seat, why let silly things happen around him that make him look as guilty as those who served before him? I dont know if he is guilty of anything or not,but things look bad, and I am puzzled at how he could not have watched his people more close.

Well it looks like more troble is coming to the big judge. Just keep diging and i'am sure there is more, these boys should have not lost their jobs regardles if they voted for mike hall or not, i think i see what the big judge was banking on. It was that he figgered that if big ernie fletcher would get relected as Gov.all of his crooking and wrong doings would be covered up or( pardoned)lol. so i say to the county workers good luck and hears hoping that you guys win and maybe the next judge thinks twice before he think he can run the whole state of this great commonwealth of kentucky. thank you.

This drama is due to the fact that the judge is a republican and all the democrats are mad about him getting elected. You see Knott Co. is known to be democratic. I am neither, but this is the first judge to get things done in this county. I for one support Judge Thompson and hope that the back stabbers and liars get theirs in the end!
