More Than 180 From Kentucky National Guard leave For Iraq

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - More than 180 members of the Kentucky
National Guard are heading to Iraq.

It's the second trip to the war-torn country for the National
Guard's 223rd Military Police Co.

A ceremony held Wednesday honored the group as they prepare for
deployment. The soldiers' families and friends packed the bleachers
at Louisville's Thomas Jefferson Middle School to show their
support.

The group is first heading to Fort Dix, N.J., for several months
of training before heading to Iraq.
