Police Break Into Bar After People Inside Lock Them Out

Several people in Whitley County are behind bars after trying to lock police out of an eastern Kentucky bar.

Police say they were trying to go inside the "Angels and Wings Sports Bar" to serve a warrant on a woman they watched enter the bar.

But officers say the people inside the bar locked the doors.

Police had to force their way inside and ended up arresting the owner, the manager, several customers, as well as the woman they were trying to find.

It sounds to me that this bar and/or the owners have more to hide than just a woman with warrants! Why go to all that trouble when the bar owners couldve let the law come in, do their job, and leave?

What happened to the rules of getting permits to sale alcohol in Corbin. These people have never went by that if they were there earlier that night they would have caught them selling to miner and you do not have to order food to drink in that place. This is why some people are so against such things in our town. Lok at the arrest report in the paper it has raised by 50% in DUI's since we have this garbage legal.

When are they finally going to close that place?? I frequently hear about them on the news or read in the paper, and it is always bad news.

They knew if they let the cops in, it would definitely ruin "happy hour." LOL! Did they really think by locking the doors it would keep the cops out. I'm guessing these are the kind of people who didn't even have to be drunk to do stupid things.
