A Rowan County school bus driver is arrested, after police say he met up with a teenager he had been communicating with on MySpace.

Gary Clark, 46, is charged with unlawful transaction with a minor. Investigators say Clark met the teen, then convinced him to get in his car where inappropriate sexual activity occurred.

Clark's neighbors were quick to jump to his defense, saying the teen made the story up to get revenge. A student at Rowan County High School tells 27 NEWSFIRST, Clark has always been polite and never would have suspected something like this.

Police have confiscated Clark's computer. We're told the teen goes to school in Rowan county, but isn't on Clark's bus route.
Clark is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.

this guy is a great guy, he does tons of volunteer work, hell 3 yrs ago he was good enuff to pass all the checks to be a foster parent. this is a case if the police being a judge. it is sad someone can walk in with TRUMPPED UP CHARGES and get a person arrested. in america it is sad you are only supposed to go to jail if you are guilty, however the police arrest you put you in jail before anything even goes to court. his good name is tarnished all over a punk.

The 18 year old son of this man is my best friend. I know this family and know that this man is innocent. The guy that is accusing him is a liar. Most of you people really need to shut up about something you don't even really know about. Don't start stating your opinion when all you know is what's shown on tv. Gary Clark is innocent.

This man Was indicted on similar charges 13-14 Years ago. I am sad to find out being that close to getting caught didn't make him change his ways. Now knowing he got caught yet again means that he has been the same person that he always was for 13-14 years wondering what has gone on in the passing years. So this is a sad sad day for me.....

When my children were students at THES about 13 yrs ago tales were going around that Mr Clark was bothering children where he was a scout leader. Nothing ever became of the alligations. Now as a mother I wonder if they possibly were true????

Someone needs to check the Morehead News archives in 1994 or 1995. There was a big write up on this individual, same or simular incident. Seems like that was the same excuse he used last time. Ironic...huh? Sometimes justice isn't always served, and then sometimes, it's just late in coming.

Something like that happened in Morgan Co., but it was kept hush, hush.Only thing is ,the bus driver in Morgan that this happened to, did have a history of living with a young student, but that was okay and nothing was ever done. And he still drives the school bus to this day. Maybe we should be talking not only to the adults who should know better, but to the shool boards who allow these kind of people to continue to have contact with our children.

JUST THINKING THAT MAYBE PART OF THE REASON THESE THINGS KEEP GETTING SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET IS BECAUSE MORE IMPORTANT STORIES, LIKE THE WRECK OF JOHN MICHEAL MONTOGMERY'S TOUR BUS, TAKE PRECEDENCE. HMMM, JUST A THOUGHT AS I WAS SCROLLING THROUGH THE HEADLINES TRYING TO FIND THIS ARTICLE...

I dont think this is revenge because he has a very important job and if that child was trying to cause trouble he should have went to someone for help like talking to his parents,he should have never meet the child to try to take care of this hiself.I Have To Children that goes to Rowan county and i hope this gets taking care of because this is scary to know my children is around people like this. And please dont try to keep this silent everyone should know their children are safe we they go to school. There's to many secrets in Rowan County.

This is happening way too much in our schools recently. Superintendent Marvin Moore should be held accountable for the hiring of such indivduals. The truth is he is more interested in saving money by hiring cheaper teachers and employees rather than hiring quality people particularly teachers. I know several teachers in Rowan, are not employed and have tried. Supt. Moore personnally told them he strives to hire the best as quick as he can. In my opinion if this is the cream of the crop than Rowan County has a lot of harvesting to do. So the result has been to hire inexperience personal. Rowan County is Quanity over Ouality.
