Madison County Schools May Soon Have New Superintendent

On Wednesday, school board leaders in Madison County will move forward in their search for a new superintendent.

An executive session to conduct superintendent interviews will be held at six Wednesday night at central office.

There are reportedly eight candidates for the job. Six are men, two are women. We are told seven of the applicants are from Kentucky and one is from Florida. Only one applicant currently works for the Madison County School District.

Tommy Floyd is serving as interim superintendent. He was the district's chief academic officer before being named the interim superintendent.

Long-time superintendent Michael Caudill died back in December.
